In The Garden


Happy Happy Sunday My Dear Sweet Friends

Well have you been able to catch your breath after Christmas and New Years??  I sure have been trying to put the pieces back together again but its been a very slow process. 

I am super excited about today's post.  I am so honored to be the Guest Designer at "Crafting When We Can".   As a designer with Fitztown we are sponsoring their challenge for the next two weeks.  And for this challenge it's Anything Goes except a Card.

Crafting When We Can Challenge  





I am beyond delighted I was able to use the Morgan Fitzsimons Image #Fae 27 and it was so much fun to color her.  It was like creating my own garden and peaceful corner of the world.  I decided to alter a small clipboard and I wanted Fae to be the center of attention.  

I painted the clipboard and covered the front and back with cardstock and used Mod Podge to seal it.  I added the Fae #27 image and used more Mod Podge .  After it was dry I added some lace around the outside edges.  And last but not least I added a trio of purple flowers to the clip and used a hot glue gun to attach the flowers.  I am really happy with how she turned out.  

I am going to use the clipboard as a decorative element in my craft room.  I smile every time I look at her.  I think its because I would love to be standing in that garden myself.  It actually makes me think of an Elvis song called "In the Garden".

    A beautiful altered clipboard, can see why you enjoyed colouring the Fairy and that you will be hanging this in your craftroom, such gorgeous colours:-) xxx

    This is absolutely gorgeous, Laine! Love your coloring, especially on her wings. I'm back from all my holiday travels and am trying to catch up on all the posts over the last couple of weeks. Haven't had time to comment on every post you've done but have seen them all. :-D Happy New Year.

Blessings and Thankfulness

Hello dear sweet friends - As some of you already know I had a different post here earlier today.  I have moved that post to my Life Lessons from Hercules Blog which I have been wanting to start for quite some time now.  And so, if you feel so inclined - you can check out my new blog and let me know what you think.
