A Day of Play

Hello dear friends - I am desperately wanting to get back into the swing of things and post more than once a week. So I have set myself a goal of at least four posts this week as well as sharing news about my next "blog candy" project with all of you.  I want this to be a fun week of surprises and hopefully lots of inspiration. Today's post is going to be a card I made and will be entering them in a challenge with Stampin' Sister's in Christ called "Clean and Simple".   What could be more simple than using scraps of cardstock, a stamped image of a vine, adding some paper flowers, punching out a flower pot and adding a little bling. Here is the link to the challenge:   http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/ Time to work on my next project. This coming Friday I will be posting all the information about my next blog candy event.   With hugs and smiles, Laine

Challenge 24 - Vintage (or at least looks like it) - Second Post Today

Boy oh boy am I feeling energetic -   I decided to play around a little this afternoon and wanted to create something I haven't done in quite a while.  YIKES!!  I actually made a card and I am so excited about it.  So this dear friends is my second post for today.  Remember you can submit more than one project for our Tuesday Alchemy challenges as well.  Who knows - I may make something else today since it's been a while since I have actually had time to sit down and play for an extended period of time.  I used a stamp set from The Angel Company who is no longer in business (so sad).  The stamp set just seemed so appropriate for this challenge.  Ready to play?? With hugs, Laine

Challenge 24 - Vintage (or at least looks like it)

Happy happy Tuesday dear friends - it's time for another challenge with us at Tuesday Alchemy.  This week our challenge is all about "vintage" or at least it looks like it is vintage.  As some of you already know I love love love vintage.  Makes me smile smile smile. I created this altered clipboard with a vintage Paris Eiffel Tower theme.  I painted the metal on the clipboard with paint (but I sanded it first).  I wanted it to look really old and worn out.  I found some vintage looking cardstock and just started tearing it in big pieces.  Adhered it to the clipboard and inked all the edges with ink.  Added some brown ribbon, a vintage button and didn't seal this one with any sealant.  I wanted to keep it the way I made it.   I hope you like it and it inspires you to create something of your own. I also hope you check out all the design teams projects for this challenge - there are amazing!!  Jump in and join us this week and I am really looking forward to seeing
