Give Thanks Always - Gratitude

Hello again my dear sweet friends I have slowed down considerably in making cards this past year and have realized I miss making them.  I had some cardstock I have been wanting to use and so began the process of seeing what I could come up with.  I have been thinking a lot about gratitude lately and decided to have that as my theme.   My only goals were to keep it clean and simple, use fall colors, add some bling and use a sentiment rather than an image.  It was so much fun making this card and my passion for cardmaking has been reignited and I can't wait to make many many more. I am submitting this card into the following challenges: Challenges 4 Everybody #6        11/9 Totally Gorjuss #152    11/2 Twist of Faith - Challenge #9 Harvest Time/Thanksgiving   11/5 Can You Dig It - Give Thanks Challenge 11/5 As always - thanks for visiting me!! Hugs and smiles Laine

Birdie Pirate goes Batty - CH38

Hello again dear sweet friends - hope you are doing wonderfully.  It time for this weeks challenge at Tuesday Alchemy.  In all honesty I am not a big fan of Halloween (never have been) and so this challenge was a bit of a challenge for me.  I wanted to make something cute and adorable rather than scary and creepy.  I still hope you will join in the challenge and since we have two sponsors this week there will be two changes to win a prize.  The sponsors are: Floppy Latte - $10 Store Voucher Loves Rubber Stamps - $10 Store Voucher Can you believe it??  I actually made a card and it was so much fun.  I fell in love with this little Birdie Pirate and just had to create something with him.  (The adorable image is from 2 Cute Ink ).    I honestly can't say he is very spooky looking.  I am hoping with the bats hovering above him and the row of skulls he is standing on will add the spooky look to the card.  What do you...

A Huge Explanation

Oh my dear sweet friends - I am incredibly sorry for my partial blog post (earlier this morning) that caused confusion.  I am deeply touched by each of your emails to make sure I was okay.  Thank you so much for caring.   I want to reassure you I am doing fine and to explain what happened.   I was working on a blog post (a rough draft) and must have pushed the "publish" button instead of the "save".  Sometimes I do a lot of editing before I publish my posts and I had only begun to write my post this morning and I mentioned the word "goodbye". This morning (Sunday) I was feeling incredibly sad and heartbroken.  I was going to have to say goodbye to all my cyber -friends, close my Etsy store and stop posting on my blog due to losing internet access on Tuesday.  I just couldn't stand the thought of one more loss in my life - the friends and connections I have made through the world wide web is how I have started to rebuild my life these past 18 m...
