CH 35 - Anything Goes - Tuesday Alchemy

Hello my dear sweet friends - are you ready for another challenge?  I have been chomping at the bit for this challenge to begin.  I love the "Anything Goes" challenges and working on this project has been so much fun.  Before I get to that part of my post I wanted to let you know we have three sponsors this week and I feel blessed to be one of them.  The sponsors are:

I have been wanting to create an altered box for quite some time now.  I made myself a promise I would get one created for this weeks challenge and of course it had to be pink as well as a little shabby chic (hopefully).  

This was an old wood box that contained some coasters.  I will probably use the coasters for something else at a later time.  I took all the hardware off and painted the box white (inside and out).  I added different cardstocks to box and inked around at the edges with Tim Holz "Black Soot" ink.  I attached legs to the bottom of the box and those are also from Tim Holz.  As you may have noticed the top of the box has been changed.  I wanted to soften the look and so I used just one large flower and added some bead blink on the top outside edges of the lid.  I wanted a touch of lace and decided to add it to the inside of the box as just a small accent.

I am also have a blog candy giveaway in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Of course there has to be a lot of pink in the give away and there is over 20 yards of pink ribbons, pink rub-on's and several stamp sets.  There will also be some added surprises in the package too. The giveaway will end at the end of October and the winner announced on November 2nd.

CH31 - Love Peace Happiness - Tuesday Alchemy
