Birdie Pirate goes Batty - CH38

Hello again dear sweet friends - hope you are doing wonderfully.

It time for this weeks challenge at Tuesday Alchemy.  In all honesty I am not a big fan of Halloween (never have been) and so this challenge was a bit of a challenge for me.  I wanted to make something cute and adorable rather than scary and creepy.  I still hope you will join in the challenge and since we have two sponsors this week there will be two changes to win a prize.  The sponsors are:

Can you believe it??  I actually made a card and it was so much fun.  I fell in love with this little Birdie Pirate and just had to create something with him.  (The adorable image is from 2 Cute Ink).   I honestly can't say he is very spooky looking.  I am hoping with the bats hovering above him and the row of skulls he is standing on will add the spooky look to the card.  What do you think??  By the way - I have been hoarding these little bat embellishments and the skulls border for several years now.  I just hadn't found the right project to use them on until now and I am so happy I waited.

Sure hope you will join us this week and I can't wait to see what you create. And of course - you never know - you could be this week's winner.

I am also submitting this card in the following challenges:

Through the Craftroom Door - Challenge #42   11/5

Just Keep On Creating - Anything Goes - Challenge #4     11/1

Spark Your Creativity  - Anything Goes Challenge #2    11/1

My blog candy giveaway is under post Challenge #35  Hello dear sweet friends -  I am taking a little detour today from my usual type of post to share something that is near and dear to my heart.  As you are already aware October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Well I want to do something to help spread the word about the importance of mammograms.  Believe it or not there are still a lot of women (and men) that we can reach together.   I am a breast cancer survivor and today September 18th  is my six year anniversary.   Six years ago I was driving to work listening to my favorite Christian radio station when there was an advertisement for the "Susan G.
