Challenge #44 - Anything Goes - Tuesday Alchemy

Hello again my super sweet friends and Happy Happy Tuesday!!  Hope you are doing well - it sure is quiet in blog land.  I helped my sister get all the Christmas packages wrapped and it feels great to have that part behind us.

Today's Challenge with Tuesday Alchemy is Anything Goes and I decided to shake things up a little bit.  More about my project in a moment because I want to share we have a terrific sponsor this week and the winner will receive their choice of 4 digital images from:
Sassy Studio Designs

Our design team has some great projects to inspire you this week and you can find all their links at Tuesday Alchemy Challenge Blog and the design team links are on the left side of the blog.  They sure would love for you to visit and leave a sweet comment for them.

For this weeks challenge I decided to shake things up a little.  I have been wanting to create things with craft supplies I already have and came across numerous packages of Shabby Chic Clothes pins I found at Michael's quite a while ago.  I also had this pink round container (photo shows only the lid) but wasn't sure what to create.  The lid is about 3.5" in diameter and 1" high.

Ironically I started playing around with the clothes pins and  attaching them one by one around the lip of the lid.

I started laughing because I realized I could create a small container to hold some of my most used crafting tools and keep it on top of my craft table.  I was so excited and it was a super easy project and I love it.  No glue or adhesive was needed and the container is sturdy and steady.

It took 20 clothes pins to make the container and only had four left over.  I just love when a project just falls into place easily and quickly.

So my dear friends please join in our challenge this week.  I can't wait to see what you create.  How cool is this??

Have a blessed day!

  2. Hi Laine
I had to smile when I saw your creation because this is exactly the way I store my clothes pegs I use for help with crafting. But I do not use it as a holder because it's not strong enough. Great cool idea by the way! Love those pegs you used. They are gorgeous!

  3. Laine, This is so clever! What a fantastic container. You've just given my mind a click on something I might be able to do from existing supplies. Thanks! :-D

It's All About SPARKLE AND SHINE

Happy Happy Thursday My Dear Sweet Friends Can you believe it  - the weekend is just around the corner - what are your plans?  I will be getting some much needed rest and hopefully be able to do a little crafting as well. Today's post is all about the 15 minute Speed Craft Challenge and putting together my project was a lot of fun.  I also got some hints and tips from my wonderful honey.  Thanks Mark!!!   This challenge is all about "Sparkle and Shine". I wanted to make a key chain and decided to use a wine cork as the base.  I gathered all my supplies; got the timer set up; took the photograph of my supplies and it was finally time to push the "start" button.   This was a pretty quick project.  I only had one major obstacle that kept getting in my way but I won't be sharing what it was until the end of the post.  Here are the steps it took to make the key chain: 1.  Glued a small washer to the top and botto...
