Challenge 15 - Twist of Faith

Happy Tuesday my sweet friends -

It's time for another challenge at Twist of Faith.  This weeks challenge is all about creating a card inspired by your favorite Christmas Carol.  Our sponsor this week is Meljens Designs and she is giving the lucky winner their choice of 4 uncolored images.

I love her images and I absolutely fell in love with this little snowman.  As soon as I saw this snowman looking up at star in the sky I thought of how peaceful the scene was and it made me think of "Silent Night" which is one of my favorite Christmas Carols.

I'm not 100% happy with how my card turned out - there are some  details I would like to have done differently.  I want there to be a little less bling in the sky so the background appears a little more peaceful and not so busy.  I am going to make another one and add it to this post a little later today.  I really do love this image and want my final card to really show case how I picture it in my mind. Probably sounds a little crazy but I guess I have crazy thoughts from time to time (silly me).

The DT has some great cards this week and the link to the Twist of Faith Challenge blog is located on the right side of my blog side bar.  I hope you will check out the DT cards and join in the challenge as well.

Time to get busy with my updated card and a little later this morning my second project will post.

With hugs and smiles

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
