Hello again my special friends - It's only been 5 hours since my last post. Times passes quickly because as you are reading this I am at the hospital with my sister. Both of us will be glad when her surgery is done and she can finally start feeling better. Bless her heart - she just had knee surgery 5 months ago. I am hoping this will be her last surgery for a very long time.

Hugs4theHeart Designs on Etsy - $10.00 Gift Card
Di's Digi's are really really cute and it looks like I might need to do a little shopping this week. And of course - the last sponsor is silly ole' me - but this is my baby and I love sharing from my heart.
This week I am sharing an altered chipboard clipboard (boy try and say that fast 3 times). I couldn't do it - and yes, I tried (several times). Anyway one of my dearest friends is going through a challenging time right now and I wanted to make her something as a "Just Because" surprise. I have included photos of just a couple of the pages in this album. The clipboard itself is 6" x 6" and I covered it in pink cardstock and then added several patterned pink and green cardstocks to each page of the album. These album pages are about 4.5" x 6" and I attached it to the left side with 1" rings and miscellaneous ribbons. I wanted her to be able to hang up the clipboard if she wanted so I added ribbon on the right side to keep the album closed. You can see where I added some simple but heartfelt sentiments along with stamped images and bling. This was a quick and easy album and that's just the way I like it sometimes.
So my dear friends - please join us this week. The design team has some amazing projects this week and you can find them on the TA challenge blog along with the DT's blogs. I am so looking forward to seeing what you create this week.
And as a final reminder - there are two more days until my blog candy give away closes.
With hugs and smiles
Laine

Laine, This is such a wonderful gift and I love the pink and green combo! :-D I know she's going to appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteLaine, this is a fabulous gift, and your friend is sure to cherish it. And it makes ME want to make one too! Great inspiration! I only discovered last night the YOU are one of our TA sponsors and I wanted to say I love your store! I didn't put 2 and 2 together (sponsor's name and your blog name) until I wrote up my blog post for today and got the pleasant surprise to see you amongst all your pretties! GO YOU!! Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your sister. See you at TA!
ReplyDeleteHi Laine
ReplyDeleteDo not worry about over using pinks and greens. I absolutely love them in real life but never seem to use much pink in my crafting but that's probably because I make most of the time cards for boys! I absolutely adore what you made! It is going to brighten up your friend's day as soon as they see it. I love absolutely every element you used and also so much thought have gone into making it so it is that double special.
Hope you sister's surgery went well and wishing her a speedy recovery too.
