Challenge 14 - Twist of Faith - "Light"

Happy Tuesday my dear sweet friends - this is just the beginning of my posting today.  I will be back in a while with my second post for the day.  I think I will call Tuesday's my "Two 4 Tuesdays Challenge Day".

I sure hope you are doing well.  And just in case you have missed it - there are two more days left in my blog candy give away.  The details are listed at the top post on my blog.

Today's challenge with Twist of Faith is called - "Light" - "Let there be Light".  Your card should depict LIGHT - a light source such as the sun, moon, a lamp, a candle, etc.  And make sure you include a scripture, quote or uplifting sentiment that follows this weeks theme.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Pholkart Blessings who will be giving this weeks random chosen winner their choice of two digital images.  You can read more about Patty and her wonderful shop on the Twist of Faith Challenge Blog.

I love this sweet image and had so much making this card.  As you can tell (I hope) I tried to add some light (sparkle and shine) by adding a few different textures.  For the manger I added some gold, silver and white tinsel to create the look of straw.  Added stickles to the star and around the outside edges of the reddish background paper as well as all the swirls around the baby.  I color the images with Copics.  There is a scripture sentiment on the inside of the card however silly me forgot to take a photo of that.  I was out running errands with my sister most of today as we had lots to do for her to be ready for surgery at 6:30 AM today.  I am hoping I can post a photo of the inside of the card later today - it just depends on how her surgery goes.

The Twist of Faith Design Team has some great cards to share with you this week.  I hope you will check out their blogs and all the links are on the Twist of Faith Challenge Blog.  Please join in this week ladies - we would all love to see what you create for this challenge.

Until later today - have a blessed day!!

Hugs and smiles

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
