Knitty Kitty Family Reunion

Happy Happy Sunday Sweet Friends

Today I am sharing a DT card I made yesterday that was just a hoot to create.  I had so much fun and love how it turned out.  If you haven't seen Annabel's adorably sweet images of Kitty's you just might want to check them out.  The links are below:

This image can be found here:

I really wanted to do something silly with this card.  These images just make me smile and I think it kind of brings out the child in me.  I wanted to use different colors to color everything and yet have it all be coordinated as much as possible.  I used a brick stencil to create the background and wanted it to be light enough to help the images pop out more.  I created the asphalt using several different shades of gray.  The colors I used are:

BG02, 05
C1, 3, 5
E31, 33
RV02, 04, 13, 14, 17
Y26, 35, 38
YR21, 23

After I added all the different cardstocks the brick in the background looked kind of bare.  After some serious deep thinking it occured to me this whole scene just looked like a family reunion. And that's how the title of this card was finalized.

I really hope this card makes you smile!!

Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate your taking time to leave me a comment.

I hope you have a fabulous day!!

With smiles

  2. I love it as a family reunion! Am tempted to draw another version with 100% more cats! :) This is super, and really cheered me up! The brick wall behind makes it look as if they are all on a tiny scale, so additionally cute! Thanks for doing such greatness with my stamps :)

Blessings and Thankfulness

Hello dear sweet friends - As some of you already know I had a different post here earlier today.  I have moved that post to my Life Lessons from Hercules Blog which I have been wanting to start for quite some time now.  And so, if you feel so inclined - you can check out my new blog and let me know what you think. (For this card I wanted to use my scraps of paper and other embellishments that are over six months old.  And I achieved that by using the brown lace and butterflies.  In fact, they are almost a year old and I have just been saving them for something special.   With hugs and smiles Laine I am also submitting this card to the following challenges: Twist of Faith Challenge #10 - A Sketch Challenge Craft Door Magazine - Challenge #43 Anything Goes Paper Take Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes Lady Anne's Challenges - Anything Goes Stampin Sisters in Christ - Challenge 164 Challenges for Everybody - #6 Sta...
