I Dream of Paris - Altered Mixed Media Canvas

Happy Sunday Sweet Friends

I hope your weekend has been going well.  Sure been praying for everyone dealing with all the Hurricane Matthew.  I am hoping things settle down soon.

It's time for this month's Mixed Media World's Challenge and this one ia all about Mixed Media and/or Assemblage.

I really enjoyed creating this project.  It's ironic how I started creating a totally different project because the first one just wasn't falling into place for me.  I decided to create something with a Paris theme.  This is an 8" x 8" canvas and I used a lot of different things.  It's currently almost midnight and I am exhausted so I will be back in the morning with more details on this project.

Good morning Sweet Ladies

I really enjoyed making this and this is how I created it:

*I used an 8" x 8" canvas.
*Added a coat of Gesso.
*Covered front with left over pieces of cardstock from the Angel Company.  It's one of my favorites which is why I only had scraps and unfortunately they went out of business.
*I used scraps of tissue paper around the outside edges of canvas.
*Used two stencils - one a script and the other floral for the background along with molding paste.
*I used a floral die cut and cut out 8 images.  Used four on each corner.  Glued them  on top of each other to create more depth.
*Sealed entire canvas with a coat of Clear Gel Medium.
*I used a lot of broken chains (cheap - not gold - LOL) to create a border around the edges.
*Covered it all with a light coat of Gesso.
*Used Rich Espresso Metallic Paint for the inside edges on top of canvas.
*Once dry added all the embellishments.

If you have any questions please let me know.  I am still new to the Mixed Media/Altered Art world but love it.

I am also entering the following challenges and FB pages:
