It's a Relaxing Kind of Day - Grapes vs. Bubbes

Happy Happy Friday My Dear Sweet Friends

It's Friday and I couldn't be happier.  It's been a really busy week and I am TIRED!!  LOL

Today I am sharing a project I made using this adorable image by Sherri Baldy.

There is quite a story behind this project and it still cracks me up.  I absolutely love this image and wanted to create something fun with her.  I came across the rub-on sentiment "Be Unique" in my old stash and it was perfect.  So because of this sentiment I decided to color all the bubbles purprle.  I thought it would be fun and "unique,"  As I started putting the lace around the outside edges it hit me like a baseball bat across my forehead - "Oh my goodness, it looks like she's sitting in a tub full of grapes."  Panic set in.  I showed my sister and she said, "Sis, I can't lie, yes they look like grapes."  Yep, so it's up to you sweet friends - you can decide for yourself - do you see bubbles or grapes?  Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think?

I am also entering her into the Besties UK Challenge which actually ends later today.  Here's the link:

Have a great weekend!

  1. Hi Laine, thank you for joining us at UK Besties Challenge, beautfiul card, and I have to say grapes, but a tub of grapes on a tablecloth, as that is what the lace kind of reminds me off, very unique. Cindy

Fight Like A Girl - Pink Power

My blog candy giveaway is under post Challenge #35  Hello dear sweet friends -  I am taking a little detour today from my usual type of post to share something that is near and dear to my heart.  As you are already aware October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Well I want to do something to help spread the word about the importance of mammograms.  Believe it or not there are still a lot of women (and men) that we can reach together.   I am a breast cancer survivor and today September 18th  is my six year anniversary.   Six years ago I was driving to work listening to my favorite Christian radio station when there was an advertisement for the "Susan G. Komen 3 day/60 mile breast cancer awareness walk.  At that moment in my heart I knew without a doubt I needed to walk those 60 miles.  Now in all honesty - at the same time I was asking myself questions like - Why on earth do I feel so compelled to walk those 60 miles fo...
