Hydrangea Fairy by Aurora Wings - Challenge #27 - "Say It With Flowers"

Happy Saturday My Sweet Friends

Today I am sharing a project I made for the Aurora Wings Challenge (that ends today).  Yes, I am getting close to the deadline - but at least I got her entered into the challenge.  I used a gorgeous image called "Hydrangea Fairy with Flower Clusters.  I just love her but I was really stepping out of my comfort zone with her.  There was so much detail but it was fun and challenging and I am glad she is finished.

I used so many different techniques on her.  I love how using clear gloss made the dots on the leaves look like raindrops.  I colored her with Copics and used chalk to create the background so it wouldn't be start white. I also used two different glitters to add some sparkle and bling around her wings.

I will be back later with the Copics colors I used.  They are sitting on my craft table but I am to tired and lazy to get up and get them all.  I will list them no later than tomorrow.

I appreciate your stopping by - and I hope my project has inspired you a little.

With hugs and smiles
Laine Kammeraad

  1. I might have to be scarred if she was my wife or girlfriend and got upset. She might fly off the handle or something, haha. She and the flowers with the bling and the flowers with their dots of light are gorgeous. A lovely job again!!!

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
