New Challenge at Mixed Media World - "Vintage" Theme

Happy Happy Wednesday My Sweet Friends

I can't believe it's the middle of the week already.  I sure hope you are enjoying your day.

Today I am sharing my DT project with Mixed Media World.  For our challenge at Mixed Media World the theme is "Vintage" and I created this project using a lot of my favorite things.  I love anything Eiffel Tower, lots of lace and so much more.

Our amazing sponsor for this challenge is The Old Design Shop.  Boy, do they have some amazing designs.  I found quite a few I would love to have myself.  The link is below and the winner of the challenge will receive three images.

I created this project using a lot of my favorite things.  I love anything Eiffel Tower, lots of lace and so much more.  I started with a flat 6" x 8" canvas and lots of Gesso, white lace, more white lace with pink trim and beige lace.  I used a vintage looking Eiffel Tower as the main focus surrounded by all the lace.

I hope you will join in our challenge this month and as always we look forward to seeing what you create.

Here is the link to the current challenge and you really should take a look at the projects created by the Design Team.  I am always in awe to see their creations each month.

  2. I saw this on the Mixed Media World Challenge blog and had to come on over to take a closer look. It's beautiful! I adore the vintage panel, the subtle use of colour and the lace which is one of my favourite things to use so I must remember to start using it on my off the page creations. Thanks for the fabulous inspiration Karen x

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
