Laine Fairy Art Journal Page

Happy Happy Thursday My Dear Sweet Friends

I don't know about you but I am so ready for the weekend.  I am hoping to have plenty of time to create and maybe even take a nap.  What about you?  What are your weekend plans?

I have been working on my first Art Journal Page and I am so delighted to be finished. I actually have my first two page done but still have many empty pages to fill up.

It was fun and yet stressful because it felt like no matter what I did - I just couldn't get everything I wanted to use to fall into place.  As usual I was worried I would do something to mess it all up but when I made a mistake - I just used more Gesso.  How cool is that?  I find it so liberating.

I am so thrilled at finally starting my personal Art Journal and I am really looking forward to all the different pages I will be creating and the finished journal as well.

I used a lot of different techniques in creating this page.  I have a list with everything written down and as soon as I get my mess cleaned up I will come back and post everything I used.  And that includes all the copics colors too.

(Update October 1st - I actually put everything away and threw out the sheet of paper with all the Copic colors I used as well as my other project notes.  Man oh man do I feel horrible).

The image I used is one I commissioned with Betty, owner of Simply B Stamps. She actually made two images for me. This one of me as a fairy and the other of me as a police officer.  I just love her creations. I will be sharing my police officer art page as soon as I am finished.

I really appreciate your stopping by and your comments make my day.

  2. The house on Fairy Lane :) This is so cute. I love the flowers and the patterns on the "Landing Pad" with our beautiful fairy flying in after a long day of spreading happiness and fairy dust.

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
