Adorable Numbats

Happy Happy Tuesday My Sweet Friends

I sure hope your weekend was fabulous!!

Mine was busy working on some coloring projects and one of them was this adorable Numbat image from Aurora Wings.  Mitzi Sato-Wiuff is the very talented artist and designer of all images from Aurora Wings.

Mitzi is very passionate about Numbats and she had a fundraiser "Color for a Cause" to help raise awareness with the donations going to a conservation study. I was so delighted to have received this sweet image free for making a donation to such a worthy cause for these adorable marsupials.

Mitizi is having a coloring challenge for everyone who donated and this is the project I made.  This is an altered wood block.

I colored with my Copics and used the following colors:

E23, E25, E27
R20, R81, R83
BV20, BV23, BV25
G12

I sanded the block.
Painted it brown.
Covered all of it with a burgundy cardstock.
Added a coating of Mod Podge.
Added another layer of a coordinating cardstock to the front of block.
I fussy cut out the Numbat image and used more Mod Podge as a sealant.
I added bling on the outside edges.

I really wanted to make something I could display in my craft area to keep as a memento.  This really was a fun project to make.

If you haven't seen any of the amazing images from "Aurora Wings" I hope you will check out her Etsy Shop and if you can - come join us on Facebook and join in all the fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I always appreciate it and your sweet comments always make me smile.

Have a blessed day!!

With hugs and smiles

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
