Hello Hello My Dear Sweet Friends
Oh my goodness I can't believe it's Thursday already. Has this week gone as fast for you as it has for me?? To many doctor appointments for me this week as well as for my honey too. How has your week been??
It is time for the "Speed Craft Challenge" and this challenge is all about ANIMALS. How sweet is that? I just knew I had to create something using a photo of my sweet and adorable Pomeranian Miss Moxie. And boy oh boy does she live up to the definition of her name. I really should have named her "CALM" but that's for another post.
The Design Team has some amazing creations for you this challenge. These challenges are "Anything Goes" but you only have 15 minutes to complete the project. You can gather your supplies ahead of time but then the clock starts tick tick ticking away.
Here's the link where you can will find the DT projects (to help get your creative juices flowing) and then it's just time to jump into the deep end.
It really is a great way to "JUST DO IT" (thanks Nike).
Here is a photo of the supplies I gathered ahead of time.
As you can see from the photo above I decided to alter an old box and wanted it to hold Miss Moxie's Vet records inside. Listed below are the steps I took in making this project. My goal was to use items I hadn't used in a very long time and that was some stickers. I also wanted to use Mod Podge and it was finally time to "PUSH" the START button. READY - 1, 2, 3 and GO......
*Cut cardstock to add to the top of the lid and used Mod Podge to glue it down. Let dry.
*Used Mod Podge to glue the cardstock photo mats to the back of the photo.
*Added a top coat of Mod Podge prior to glueing down the photo.
Let dry.
*Added another coat of Mod Podge over the photo.
Let dry.
While the Mod Podge was drying on the lid:
*I added the adorable stickers around the boarders of the box itself.
*Once the lid was dry I added decorative stickers on top of the lid and added a final coat of Mod Podge for extra protection.
And here is my final time shown below:
And I think Moxie looks adorable on the front of the box. What do you think?
My biggest concern during the process was having used so many layers of Mod Podge along with the cardstock that the lid wouldn't be able to slide back and forth any more. Thankfully that wasn't the case. YAY!! And here is the final project.
Thanks so much for stopping by - I really appreciate it. I hope you will join in our challenge and discover for yourself just what you can create in 15 minutes
Please remember to take a photograph of your finished project along with the time it took you to finish your project.
