It's all about MAX

Hello my dear sweet friends -

Where has time gone?  It's like I have just turned around and lost four months of my life.  I guess in some ways its kind of true. Silly me!!

I am happy to be back and have lots of new things to share as well as getting caught up on what's been going on with you on your blogs and in your lives.

I have some new projects I will be sharing too!!!

I have decided that my first post will be on the more personal side of things and share the newest addition to my family.  Some of you may remember I lost my dear Hercules in August of last year and it was quite heartbreaking. Hercules was such a special part of my life for over 13 years and his passing left quite a huge hole in my heart.  Well like they say - time heals and there is some truth to that statement I guess.  I still miss Hercules everyday and wasn't sure if I would ever get another dog or not.

Well seven months later I have had a new little furry guy show up needing a new home and the rest is history.  His name is Max and he is a dog rescued from a dog shelter.  I don't know a lot about him except he is adorable, sweet, faster than a speeding bullet, cuddly, and I love how one ear is pointed down and the other pointed to the side.  He has stolen my heart and brings a lot of joy to my world.  So without any further delay - this is Max.

I will be back tomorrow to share a new project and hope you will stop by and say hello.

With smiles and hugs

Laine

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
