CH - 34 Anything but a Card or Tag

Hello dear sweet friends - hope you are doing well and happy!!
Boy do I feel out of loop in the creative department.  It feels so great to be back in full swing.  The past two weeks  have been busy with hospital visits and errands (for family members).  Fortunately everyone is doing better and that's what counts.

This week's challenge with Tuesday Alchemy is "Anything but a Card or Tag."

We have two wonderful sponsors this week:

For this weeks challenge I decided to alter this old beat up wood wine bottle container I found at a yard sale about a year ago.  It holds two bottles of wine.

Of course I wanted it to have a Paris theme and a slight Shabby Chic look to it.  This was actually a pretty quick project and I love how it turned out.

I planned on keeping this one for myself and was even going to add more embellishments to the front of it but hadn't had the time yet.  A friend of a friend saw it and fell in love with it.  It made her so happy I just had to let it go home with her.

So dear friends please jump in and join us in this week's challenge.  There is some great inspiration from our design team and guest design team this week.  You can find each of their blog links on the left side of the Tuesday Alchemy blog.  I am so looking forward to seeing what you create.

Hugs and smiles

Laine

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
