Challenge 16 - Fruitylicious - Tuesday Alchemy

Happy Happy Tuesday!!!

It still seems like Monday to me - I guess three day weekends still throw me off a little.  Spent the weekend moving everything out of storage and into my sister's garage.  Fortunately the weather was a little cooler which made the project a little more tolerable.

This weeks challenge with Tuesday Alchemy is called "Fruitylicious" and I really hope you decide to join in this month.  We have a terrific prize and personally I would love to see what ideas everyone comes up with.

My sister has a bowl of decorative fruit on one of her tables in the kitchen and for some reason I am fascinated by it.  If that sounds odd to you - well in a way it does to me too but I wanted to see where this creative journey would take me.

I love all the colors, textures, and shapes.  I guess you can say it appeals to me on an artistic level and I wanted to make something for this challenge with that image.  I decided to take some photographs of the bowl of fruit and I thought it would make a great key holder my sister can use as a decorative element in her kitchen area.  She loves it and even though it was a really simple project in a lot of ways there is something really rewarding about this one.

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
