I love love love butterflies!! Maybe it's my fascination in how they evolve from a cute furry caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly. There is so much to learn about life from watching them evolve and serves as a reminder to me nothing stays the same - life is always changing and evolving. Without the challenging times in my life there would be no gauge to truly appreciate and embrace true joy and peace.
What does all this have to do with this week's challenge?
Creativity and the creative process is an evolving process for me that brings so much joy (and at times frustration) however I have learned to trust the process either way. So this week's challenge was a reminder nothing in life stays the same forever and I desperately needed that reminder.
I decided to take blocks of wood and see what I could come up with. This is the only one I have finished however I will share the other two as soon as I get them finished later this week. I wanted to make a three piece set for a dear friend of mine.
I decorated and embellished every side of this block. I will take a few more photos and add them later today.
I truly hope you will join us at Tuesday Alchemy in this week's challenge. I can't wait to see what you create!!
With smiles,
Laine

I love your introduction leading up to the wooden blocks. Of course you already know I love your works of art! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Laine!
ReplyDeleteI loved both of these SO much! I had a terrible time picking which one to put in the post. I decided to go with the orange one because I adore orange & it seems to be the color of the moment :)
Lots of joy!
Hi Laine this is a fantastic project I love the thought of using wood which goes perfectly with the beautiful butterfly image.
