Tuesday Alchemy Design Team Call

It is so exciting Tuesday Alchemy is having a Design Team call.  I have decided to step out of my comfort zone and apply.  The butterflies in my tummy are wearing combat boots. (I can hear my best friend saying "Silly Laine".    Make sure to check out the Tuesday Alchemy Blog and submit your own projects.

I am hooked on the creative process although I must confess it was a painful process in the beginning.  When I first started over 20 years ago I use to sit at the kitchen table and try to make something and just be paralyzed with fear and start crying.  My daughters would say "Mom it is suppose to be fun" and I sobbed "but it's NOT".  I remember that exact moment as if it was yesterday but I am so glad I never gave up.  I find the creative process fun, exciting, at times frustrating and absolutely life changing.  I decided to submit a variety of items and see what happens.  My next step will be submitting cards and other items to magazines.

Cinderella goes Camo

Hello my dear sweet friends -

I hope this finds you doing well.  It's been a while since I have been able to post and yet I have been able to get quite a few loose ends tied up.  I ended up making a quick trip to California to get the rest of personal stuff out of storage.  I am no longer scattered across three states and I can't even begin to express how wonderful that feels.  It will take me some time to get all my craft stuff set up and organized again but it looks like I will be able to really get on the ground running again.  It was a group effort and my sisters and brother in law were amazing and so incredibly helpful.

A few days before the trip I received a phone call (out of the blue) from a dear friend I worked with at the Police Department in California 20 years ago.  It was great hearing from him and we have been having fun getting caught up on things. My my, so many new and exciting changes.  I am still working on getting my health back on track and doctors say I a…

You are Mer-Mazing!!!

Happy Tuesday Sweet Friends
I hope you are having a fabulous day!!  And I am really hopeful it's not overly hot where you are.  It's suppose to be 114 degrees here today and I am NOT looking forward to that.   What I am looking forward to is sharing my newest creation using this absolutely amazing image by Sherri Baldy.  She was so much fun to color and the background was really fun to create as well.  I just love her - she looks like she's just chillin' and enjoying her surroundings.  It's kind of magical and I would love to be there with her.

I used Copics to color her and the colors I used are:
B00, 02, 04, 05, 12, 14 (Background and her Eyes) E000, 00 11, 31, 33, 35   (Skin and Sand). RV02, 04, 21, 23 (Water Background) V01, 05, 06, 09  (Mermaid tail, top, flowers, background and seaweed) YG21, 23, 25   (Water Background) YR21, 23, 25 (Hair)
I hope she brings you a smile.  Here's the link to her in Sherri's Etsy Shop: Sherri Baldy on Etsy - Image 661 Here's the lin…
