Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends
I am so excited about today's post - I have some new things to share however first of all I want to share the project I made for Morgan Fitzsimon's Art World.
I absolutely loved coloring this beautiful butterfly image from Morgan Fitzsimons called Fae 18. There are actually four different images however I chose just one for this project. This is a altered wall hanging that I re-cycled into this finished project you see above. It measures approximately 8" x 8". The rest of the details of this project are at the end of this post.
If you would like to take a look at some of Morgan's gorgeous Art Work here is link: Morgan Fitzsimons
There's a new Challenge Blog in Blogland coming soon along with a Blog Hop as well as introducing the Creative Team. I am so delighted to (still) be a part of this team. We are now on Facebook under the name Morgan's Art World.
It's a closed group however that doesn't mean you can't come over and join us. I will share more details as more information is available. Here is the link to Morgan's FB page:
and here is the link to the new Challenge Blog Website:
As you can tell there's a lot going on and we are looking forward to your joining us and joining in all the new things that are happening. And last but not least here are the rest of the details about this project:
I can't believe I forgot to take a photo of the original wall hanging before I started altering it. It wasn't until I have more than half way done that I realized I made my mistake. There's nothing I can do about it now so I might as well stop kicking myself.
1. Lightly sanded the piece of wood.
2. Used Mod Podge and glued down various cardstocks.
3. Colored the butterfly with Copics.
4. Fussy cut out the butterfly and added on top of cardstock.
5. Sealed entire front of piece with Mod Podge.
6. Added lace around top and bottom.
7. Added flowers.

Fantastic project Laine! Your lace and flowers help your butterfly to pop right off the page.
