Altered Fabric Journal (Chipboard)

Happy Monday my Dear Sweet Friends - I hope you had a fabulous weekend!!  It was a quiet one for me and I was able to get some rest and finish working on this new project (which I actually started a while ago but wasn't able to complete).

I absolutely love the sentiment and find it is so true in my own life for over 20 years now.  Which makes this soon to be journal extra special to me.  There are no inside pages yet but I wanted to share the journal itself and get my feet wet by entering a couple of challenges this week.

I made the journal from scratch using heavy chipboard and covered it with actual fabric with adhesive on the back.  I believe its from DCWV.  It was a little tricky to work with and yet great I didn't have to use any other adhesive.  As you can tell I used lots of bling, pearls, lace, charms and inked the edges to give it the total shabby chic look.  The journal measures 5" x 7".

If you have any questions just let me know.

As always, THANK YOU for taking the time to stop by and leaving me such sweet comments.  It really means a lot to me.

I also came across this amazing blog from a very talented woman named Lori and she is having a $30.00 Saturated Canary giveaway.  Her coloring is FABULOUS!!!!  Here's the link and it ends August 15th.

I also checked out a few more of my favorite blogs today and found a great give-away if you are interested in submitting your link.  The products are gorgeous!!

I am going to enter my new journal project into the following challenges:

Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I've got my Fitztown DT hat on today and I am sharing an altered small composition I made using one of the gorgeous rose images from Fitztown . Here's how I make my altered composition books whether they are the large or small ones. I used a small file and lightly sanded the front & back of the book until all the shine is gone.  I added the cardstock to the front and back using glue. I used my bone folder to make sure the cardstock was adhered well. I used Copics to color the roses. Fussy cut out the roses and attached to the front of the composition book with glue. Used my bone folder to make sure the image was adhered well. Added a strand of faux pearls to the left side. This really is a quick and easy project.  I actually like to make several ahead of time to either give as RAK's or gifts to family, friends or co-workers. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your feedback and comments....
