CH - 34 Anything but a Card or Tag

Hello dear sweet friends - hope you are doing well and happy!! Boy do I feel out of loop in the creative department.  It feels so great to be back in full swing.  The past two weeks  have been busy with hospital visits and errands (for family members).  Fortunately everyone is doing better and that's what counts. This week's challenge with Tuesday Alchemy is "Anything but a Card or Tag."  We have two wonderful sponsors this week: Robyn's Fetish - 5 Digital Images Jesseas Designs - 4 Digital Stamps For this weeks challenge I decided to alter this old beat up wood wine bottle container I found at a yard sale about a year ago.  It holds two bottles of wine.   Of course I wanted it to have a Paris theme and a slight Shabby Chic look to it.  This was actually a pretty quick project and I love how it turned out.   I planned on keeping this one for myself and was even going to add more embellishments to the front of i...

"Bee Happy" and its Almost Friday.......

Happy happy Thursday!  I am finally feeling better - got knocked down by something and it wasn't fun spending so much time in bed.  I was wanting to create but all I could do was "nothing".  I must confess though I do feel a little more rested.   Even though I wasn't able (due to illness) to participate in this weeks Tuesday Alchemy challenge I still wanted to use one of the images from Birdie Brown one of our sponsors this week.  I just love her images and couldn't wait to play with this adorable bee.  Here is the link to her Etsy shop:   Birdie Brown   I hope you will check out her shop and take a look at all her cute and whimsical digital images. I made this card yesterday.  I promised myself I would use one of my Nestabilities and it was so much fun.  I haven't used any of them in such a long time.   Its hard to tell from this background but I used black cardstock for the base of the card and added the yellow...

Dog Day of Summer & New Blog Challenge Entry

Hello sweet friends Today I am going in a different direction.  I have spent a lot of time today giving Hercules his new look.  His fur was so fluffy and long and with it being 109 degrees outside it was time to give him a short cut. I thought it would be fun to share before and after photos.  He is such a happy furry sweetheart and of course it warms my heart to see him so happy.  I hope he makes you smile too!! I wonder how much Hercules weighs now.  He was just under five pounds before his haircut.  I think I will have to weigh him.   I found a new website called Cornish Heritage Farms.  In honor of Hercules I decided to enter this weeks challenge on their blog.  It's all about animals.  I just had to buy this digital image so I could make a new wall hook to hang Herc's leash on.  Check their website and you will see all the adorable digital images & rubber stamps they have.    And maybe enter the...

Color Recipe Challenge 27 - Sea Foam Green, Brown and Pink

Hello dear ladies - are you ready for another challenge?  I sure am and since the weather hasn't cooled down yet, it gives me another reason to stay inside and make a few projects.  So I hope you will join us this week and I can't wait to see what you create.   Our color challenge is using three colors - Sea foam green, pink and brown.  You can use all three colors, two or just one.  The only other colors you can use are black, white or beige.   For this challenge I used a flower digital image from LEJ Designs.  I cut the flowers out, used pop dots between the two flowers to give some dimension.  Added a really pretty pearl button in the center.  I finally used one of my Sizzix die cuts to make the flourish.  I punched out two butterfly shapes and added a small pop up dot in the center of the two for extra dimension.  And of course - no card is complete without some extra bling.   Post settings We have th...

Challenge 26 - BINGO

Happy Happy Day dear sweet friends  - right now there is a glorious breeze flowing through the front door and it feels incredibly refreshing.  I am savoring the moment because it will be changing very soon.  It's going to be one of those stay inside with the air conditioner days.    Our challenge this week is BINGO!!!!  I have never played actual bingo.  I do remember as a child walking through a bingo parlor with my grandma and seeing all different types of things sitting in front of each player.  Troll dolls, stuffed animals of all shapes and sizes and lots of other small trinkets in.  Grandma told me those were good luck charms for each player hoping to win a prize.  It was fun hearing one of them yell "BINGO" (especially when my grandma won). So this weeks challenge is all about bingo.  All you need in front of you are your craft supplies and your imagination to see what you can create to make your own entry into this ...
