Hippo Woman

Hello My Sweet Friends

It's Friday, the sun is shining, there's a gorgeous breeze and I am inside for the time being.  LOL!!!  I will be sharing quite a few projects over the next week - so I hope you will stay tuned.  How has your week been?  Have you been busy creating gorgeous projects?

Today I am sharing my Design Team project using this adorable hippo image from artist Sandra Caldwell.  This cutie is name:  Hippo Woman.  As you can see there are two different images using the same image.

I just fell in love with this image.  I had so much fun using Copics to color her.  I also used some cardstock to create the background.  I used the same color theme so it would look like she belonged in the scene.  HeeHee!!!  The only problem I am having is thinking of a sentiment or quote to use.  Silly me!!

I put away my Copics (a little to early) and need to go back and get the colors I used to color Hippo Woman.  You can also find her here at the following links:

We would love to see join our Facebook Group.  If have a challenge in progress and it's not to late to enter.  There's still plenty of time.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by - it always makes my day!!

With hugs and smiles

  1. She is awesome! And she looks so great on this background, it really is a perfect fit! How about "You may have to fight the battle more than once to win it!" ? Defo needs a "Stay strong" type quote :)

Fight Like A Girl - Pink Power

My blog candy giveaway is under post Challenge #35  Hello dear sweet friends -  I am taking a little detour today from my usual type of post to share something that is near and dear to my heart.  As you are already aware October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Well I want to do something to help spread the word about the importance of mammograms.  Believe it or not there are still a lot of women (and men) that we can reach together.   I am a breast cancer survivor and today September 18th  is my six year anniversary.   Six years ago I was driving to work listening to my favorite Christian radio station when there was an advertisement for the "Susan G. Komen 3 day/60 mile breast cancer awareness walk.  At that moment in my heart I knew without a doubt I needed to walk those 60 miles.  Now in all honesty - at the same time I was asking myself questions like - Why on earth do I feel so compelled to walk those 60 miles fo...
