My First Felt Needle Book - My New Addiction

Hello my dear sweet friends -

Happy Thursday - and sure hope you are doing well.

I am super excited to share my first felt needle book with you and my newest addiction.  These are so fun and easy to make.  This one is my own creation as far as how I put this one together.

The cover is actually made of flannel with the inside pages being felt. I have had this floral flannel for some time now and was saving it for something special.  And, for me that turned out to be this needle book.

The book measures 4" x 4" when closed and 8" x 8" when open.  I decided not to add a closure button because I didn't want to cover up the flowers.  The rest of the pages in this book are similar to the one shown in the second photo.  The only difference is I just added different styles of lace to each page.

I am using this one to help me keep better track of my altered stick pins. Have you made a felt needle book yet?  Have you even considered making one?  I'd love to know and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Have a blessed day!!

With hugs and smiles

Laine

Fight Like A Girl - Pink Power

My blog candy giveaway is under post Challenge #35  Hello dear sweet friends -  I am taking a little detour today from my usual type of post to share something that is near and dear to my heart.  As you are already aware October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Well I want to do something to help spread the word about the importance of mammograms.  Believe it or not there are still a lot of women (and men) that we can reach together.   I am a breast cancer survivor and today September 18th  is my six year anniversary.   Six years ago I was driving to work listening to my favorite Christian radio station when there was an advertisement for the "Susan G. Komen 3 day/60 mile breast cancer awareness walk.  At that moment in my heart I knew without a doubt I needed to walk those 60 miles.  Now in all honesty - at the same time I was asking myself questions like - Why on earth do I feel so compelled to walk those 60 miles fo...
