Happy Happy Wednesday My Sweet Friends I can't believe it's the middle of the week already.  I sure hope you are enjoying your day.   Today I am sharing my DT project with Mixed Media World.   For our challenge at Mixed Media World the theme is "Vintage" and I created this project using a lot of my favorite things.  I love anything Eiffel Tower, lots of lace and so much more. Good Afternoon My Dear Sweet Friends It's been a while since I have posted anything however this is a really special post to me.  I am involved in a fundraiser to help raise awareness about the Slow Loris.  When I saw what was happening to these gorgeous creatures my heart broke.  And so I asked Mitzi Sato-Wiuff Designer and owner of Aurora Wings.   Slow Loris Rescue Fundraiser This may look cute however its actually torturing this Slow Loris.   .  Mitzi is offering two of the cutest digital images of Slow Loris for a small contribution.  They are only available through April 3rd and then they are gone forever. Happy Valentines My Dear Sweet Friends Today I am sharing my DT project with Mixed Media World.  This is our first challenge of the New Year and its exciting to be back.  The theme for this month's challenge is "Love is in the Air."  Our sponsor for this challenge is  That's Crafty  and they are giving a $20.00 Voucher (EUR) value.   We hope you will join in this months challenge.  Here is the link: Mixed Media World I decided to use a clipboard and turn it into a Mixed Media project.   I covered the clipboard with Tissue Paper from TIm Holz.   I added with Mod Podge and sealed down.   I ended up going in a new direction and decided to add lace all around the clipboard.   I also used Mod Podge to seal it down.   I used some Red Dylusion Cranberry Paint and used it to add color to the lace.   I colored the adorable image and the only thing I regret is not coloring all of her hair like her ba...

Happy Happy Sunday My Dear Sweet Friends Boy did this weekend pass by quickly.  The Super Bowl is being watched by lots of people but not including me.  I did some organization on my craft area and made a little progress.  Lots to do but it will take a long time to get it all done.  Patience is good.   I created this "Bookmark" for a challenge at Holley's Blog  called the "Making a Bookmark Contest".  Holley has a lot going on at her blog with all kinds of giveaways and sweet things.  In fact, things are going on through March.  If you get a chance stop by and join in. Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends I am so excited to be back with Morgan's Art World after taking some much needed time off for health reasons.  It feels wonderful but also feel like I have to learn everything all over again. For my Saturday Inspiration Project I used an image from Morgan's Art World.  I just fell in love with this adorable image called " Teddy Heart ".  She is also on sale so just click on the link above if you want more information.   I first colored this adorable Teddy Heart with my Copics.   I painted the top of the wood with Gesso and let dry.   I added two coats of white paint with drying in-between coats.   I used Mod Podge to add the first layer of green pattern cardstock.   Added the white lace around the outside edges. I cut the heart out and used more Modge Podge to glue it down. After drying time I added another layer of Mod Podge to the top of the Teddy Heart. Added the faux pearls ...

Happy February 1st My Dear Sweet Friends Today I am sharing a tag I made with an image called "Plasma Betty" from Simply B Stamps.  It was a lot of fun to color and I entered her into the Progressive Challenge over at Simply B Fan Page. I also made the mistake of putting all my Copics away before I wrote down all the colors. That's Crafty Mixed Media World Challenge Blog For this challenge I decided to create a Mixed Media Project using an old Wall Hook I had sitting around the house.  I thought it would be a fun canvas to work on and it was actually a very quick project and here are the details of what I did: *I added the Eiffel Tower image to the front of the wall hook with Mod Podge. *I used a stencil (unknown company) and molding paste to create the decorative edge on the right side. Happy Happy Monday My Dear Sweet Friends I hope your weekend was FABULOUS!! I haven't been feeling well the past couple of weeks and am finally sitting on a chair in the living room.  It feels good to be up but it's also exhausting and will be laying back down soon.  I really just want to share a card I made several weeks ago but haven't had a chance to post it until now. I can't remember the last time I made a Halloween card but just fell in love with this image called "Frankie Bestie" from Lacey Sunshine and had to create this card.  I wanted a clean and simple look because I loved the Halloween theme background cardstock just as it is and loved how Frankie looked on top of it. My DT project is an 8"x8" piece of wood that I have had for quite some time.  I painted it with a base coat of blue (the trees).  I added lots of other colors with various Distress paints from Tim Holz. Happy Happy Thursday My Dear Sweet Friends I don't know about you but I am so ready for the weekend.  I am hoping to have plenty of time to create and maybe even take a nap.  What about you?  What are your weekend plans? I have been working on my first Art Journal Page and I am so delighted to be finished. I actually have my first two page done but still have many empty pages to fill up.   I t was fun and yet stressful because it felt like no matter what I did - I just couldn't get everything I wanted to use to fall into place.  As usual I was worried I would do something to mess it all up but when I made a mistake - I just used more Gesso.  How cool is that?  I find it so liberating.  I am so thrilled at finally starting my personal Art Journal and I am really looking forward to all the different pages I will be creating and the finished journal as well. Happy Happy Saturday My Dear Sweet Friends Boy oh boy does time pass way to quickly.  It seems just like the other day I posted my Storytalk Eagle DT project and yet its actually time for another Saturday Inspiration Post.  I decided to use this gorgeous image from Morgan's Art World  called Cameo 14.  I have been wanting to color her for quite some time now.  I had already decided I was going to alter an Altoid Tin and I realized she was the perfect fit. I colored her with my Copics and Fussy Cut her and added her to the top of the Altoid Tin.  I had already added a base cardstock to the top of the tin.  I also added a couple coats of Mod Podge on top to help protect the image as well as the durability of the altoid tin.  I added some silver bling ribbon around the edges of the lid and bottom as well. The Copic colors I used are: BV13, BV17, BV20, BV25, BV29, BV31 E000, E00, E09, E11, E21, E23, E25 R20, R81,  R83, R85...
