All Wrapped Up

Hello My Dear Sweet Friends How was your Christmas?   Everything was amazing here at home.  My daughter cooked an amazing dinner and it was so wonderful being able to spend some quite time with my family.   Freebie Progressive Challenge Today I am sharing a card I made for the Freebie Progressive Challenge over at OutLawz.  I can't remember the last time I was able to join in a challenge over there and it was so much fun to create this card.   This digital image is from Simply Betty (love her images) and she was gracious and kind enough to sponsor and give us this image free to join in the challenge.  Isn't she amazing??   I colored her with Copics and I have a list of all the colors I used some where in my bedroom.  As soon as I find it I will post the information.   As a progressive challenge you can join in and receive a free image from the sponsoring designer.  If you use the image and join in the challenge you will automatically receive the next

Birds and Butterflies

Hello My Dear Sweet Friends I sure hope you are getting some rest (I know I need it) and time to be a little creative.  Personally I've been so tired I haven't had a whole lot of time to do very much. Today I am sharing the card I created with a gorgeous image from Ching-Chou Kuik.  Oh my goodness I love love love her images.  I have numerous rubber stamps from her but this is my first digital and it definitely won't be my last.   It was so much fun to just play with different copic colors and this is my final creation.  I sure hope you join in the challenge with Creative Fingers Challenge Blog.  The Design Team has some great inspiration this week so I hope you will check each of their blogs as well.   Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. One Stencil and a Bird House

Happy Thursday My Dear Sweet Friends Oh my goodness - I still can't believe Christmas is just around the corner.  Do you have your Christmas shopping done??  D It's the  SPEED CRAFT CHALLENGE time!!! You already know I love this 15 minute speed challenge and this project is no exception (well almost).  In all honesty - I really really didn't want to do this challenge (and yet, I found it challenging).  Wow, a challenging challenge!! But anyway here is my finished project and I will share the process a little further down.   Okay, I have a confession to make.  Yes, a real honest to goodness confession. ((((((((((I don't remember the last time I used a stencil))))))).   (((((((((((I am not even sure I have ever used one)))))))).   I have quite the collection but haven't really taken the time to jump in and play with them (and found them a little out of my comfort zone).  And that is why I was a little worried about this challenge but I

"A Star is Born"

Happy Happy Friday My Dear Friends I am actually writing this on Thursday evening at 8:30 PM (Pacific Time).  I sure hope your evening is going better than mine has.  We had a major wind storm and it knocked out the power for more than half the city.  Luckily the power is back on for us now but not so for neighborhoods close by.   I ended up taking quite a fall and tumble over the doggie fence and am having a hard time typing this post and walking.  There's not a place of me that does not hurt. So this post is going to be short and sweet so I can crawl under the covers and hopefully wake up feeling better tomorrow.  Sister Act Card Challenge It's time for the Sister Act Challenge and I am using an image by "All Dressed Up".  He's so CUTE!!  And of course the little sheep is too.  I used my Copics and created this card.  The DT has some great cards this week and I hope you will check out their blogs and join in the challenge. Sweet Dreams,

Festive and Pretty in Pink

Happy Happy Monday My Sweet Sweet Friends How was your weekend??  Did you get the shopping done you had hoped?  Did you get to make the Christmas cards you wanted to get done?   Well I have my Not Just Cards Design Team hat on.  And I am sharing the card I made using one of Aurora Wings sweet images.   What is it about these images that make them so adorable?  Their cute faces surrounded by all the beautiful leaves?  I just love using my copics (I guess I do say that a lot - sorry) on these sweet images.  Oh my goodness I need a copic intervention!! I just love bringing them to life and using not always traditional colors.  I  guess it brings new meaning to loving my fruits and vegetables.  I do, I do and I do!! If I could afford to buy all of them I would - and now I find myself wondering how long it would take to color them if I had all of them all?  I don't even want to go there - it expands my brain to much.  LOL  Oh my goodness - my honey is laughing a

Butterflies and the Power of 15 Minutes

Happy Thursday My Dear Sweet Friends Boy oh boy is it cold in Vancouver, WA.  I am not ready for winter - that's for sure?  I don't really tolerate the cold anymore - it really makes my fibromyalgia pain even worse (which is hard for me to even imagine as possible). How has the weather been for you? Warm and sunny?  Cold and rainy?? Its time for the next Speed Challenge and this one is all about Butterflies.  Yep, no such thing as to many Butterflies for me.  Funny part is I did this challenge around November 22nd and I had to wait to share this post.  That's the power of scheduling the post ahead of time (most of it anyway).  So before I get into the specifics of this project I thought I would show you a photo of the finished project. I have been wanting to make my own set of butterfly coasters and thought it would be a quick easy project for this challenge.  And in my mind its a perfect match.      Supplies:   Plastic Table Cloth (check) P

Altered Wine Cork Christmas Tree Ornaments

Happy Happy Monday My Dear Sweet Friends How was your weekend?  I haven't been feeling well and am still in bed resting.  Luckily I can work from bed from time to time and its a good thing because I have so much to share today.  Actually as you will soon discover I will be making some wonderful announcements as well as having numerous posts going live today. Once again I am sharing an altered project I made as my first Design Team Project for the Altered Eclectic Challenge Blog.  Yep, twin challenges by Elaine and twice the fun.  For this project I wanted to make some Christmas ornaments.  So I gathered a handful of recycled corks and started adding some different types of lace, rhinestones, beads, charms and whatever else I could find.  And I think my favorite is the bling yarn I used so create the strings so I can hang them from the Christmas tree.  To me it was like the icing on the cake.   The biggest challenge was in photographing them especially with the darker a

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Happy Happy Monday My Dear Sweet Friends How was your weekend??  Did you get some Christmas shopping done?  I have been in bed and not feeling well and working on getting my DT projects completed.  Today is going to be interesting because as you will see - I will have a total of three posts overall.  You see, I have some exciting news to share and I need to share in bits and pieces.   First of all today I am sharing my first project I have made for my first DT project with Eclectic Ellapu and its so exciting.  I am really looking forward to being a part of this DT and for those of you that don't know - it's a month long challenge so there is plenty of time to create something and share it with us this month (December). I am part of the "Purple Team" and our challenge was to create anything with a Christmas theme except a card.  Well, I decided to alter just one of the many 12" x 12" floor tiles we found at a garage sale in Medford many many moon

Eggbert Christmas

Happy Happy Friday My Dear Sweet Friends How was your Thanksgiving Day?  Did you go out and do any shopping today??  My Thanksgiving was fabulous - my daughter fixed the best dinner.  This was my first time having cornbread stuffing and it was decadently delicious.  I am not a big fan of corn bread but the stuffing was really good.  My taste buds are going crazy just typing about it.  I told her it was the best Turkey Dinner I can remember - and that includes my own cooking.   Well its time for another Sister Act Card Challenge and our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.  I used "Eggbert Christmas" and I am still head over heels for this little guy.  I will explain more in another post about Eggbert.  I colored him with my copics and wanted him to be the center of attention so I made a clean and simple card.  I used some puff snow (with my heating gun) around the brim and the ball at the end of his hat.   So come on over and join in this weeks challenge with us.  Lo

Butterflies

Well it's me again My Dear Sweet Friends  Yep, this is my second post for today.  I currently have my Not Just Cards DT hat on and we have three amazing sponsors this week: Robyn's Fetish Sassy Studio Bugaboo Not Just Cards Challenge Blog I have included the links above and there is more information on the NJC Challenge Blog.   For this project I decided to alter a small notebook I have had laying around for a while and calling my name.  I used an image called "Love Blocks" - "Love Conquers All".  I love all the butterflies and the sweet sentiment just says it all as far as I am concerned.  And no project is complete without some bling bling and more bling. The DT has some great projects this week and I hope you will join in the challenge and visit all the wonderful DT blogs. Have a blessed day!! With hugs and smiles Laine DT - NJC - Not Just Cards

"Pink and Silver" Christmas - FItzTown

Hello my Dear Sweet Friends Happy Happy Monday!!  I hope your weekend was wonderful.  I did manage to get several projects created this past weekend.  I will be sharing them later in the week and some at the beginning of December with a couple of surprises thrown in.  It's all a mystery for now except for the  Today I am sharing the card I made as a new CT member for the Fitztown.  Yep, I am excited to be a part of this wonderful group of ladies.   Challenge #63 is all about "Pink and Silver Christmas".    Fitztown Challenge I used an image called:  "Winter Bird #   and just fell in love with her sweet face.  Of course, pink being my favorite color I couldn't wait to start coloring her.  I also added some stickles around the brim of her hat, the cuff of her mittens and the pom pom on top of her hat.  I had some 1/4" shimmery velvet ribbon that I was finally able to use and just created a velvety border around the image.   There

Odd Ball Arts Challenge

Well it's me again my Dear Sweet Friends - This morning I am wearing my Creative Fingers Design Team hat. And this challenge #57 is Anything Goes. Creative Fingers Challenge Blog It was fun creating this card for the challenge and using one of the adorable Oddball Arts Images.  Oh my - I would be coloring 24/7 if I had all the adorable images I would want to create with.  So many digi's but so little time.   Oddball Art Company I used the image called:   Big Eye Girl Eve Has Something To Say Image No. 127  This big eye girl was such a hoot to color with my Copics.  It took numerous attempts with the Copic coloring but I am pretty happy with the final card.   So my dear friends I hope you will join in the challenge and who knows you could be the next challenge winner.  The link to the Creative Fingers Blog is listed above.  There are also some beautiful cards created by the Design Team and you may notice we used various paperclip on our

"All Dressed Up'

Happy Happy Friday My Dear Sweet Friends Yay - It's almost the weekend and I am so looking forward to it.   My hubby and I have some big plans to get a lot of craft projects done this weekend.  What are your plans??  Christmas shopping?  Thanksgiving food shopping?  Creating something special?? Today I am sharing my DT project with Sister Act using an image from "All Dressed Up".  They are of course our sponsor for this challenge.  Oh, I think the images are so cute and adorable.  I used my copics to color this little cutie.  Once again I put my copics back in the tote before writing down the colors I used.  So frustrating and hopefully won't do that again.  Silly me!!   Winner will receive two digital images.   All Dressed Up Digital Images on Etsy So come on over to Sister Act and join in the challenge. The link is listed above.  It will be great to see what you create for this challenge.  There is some great inspiration from the DT as w

Speed Challenge - The Power of "HOPE"

Happy Happy Thursday my Dear Sweet Friends Oh my goodness - Thanksgiving is a week away which also means Christmas is around the corner.  Have you done your Thanksgiving shopping yet?  Christmas??  I haven't even started mine.   Today I sharing my Design Team project with Speed Challenge.  As you already know I am a huge fan of this challenge as it helps me to just jump in and enjoy the process.  I have a tendency to way over-think at times (especially with my crafting) and this has begun to change with each challenge - and I love it!!   For this challenge I wanted to alter an altoid tin.  I have been wanting to have a pretty altered tin as a special place to hold some of my favorite quotes and scriptures.  My other goal is to complete and decorate one small page each day until all the pages are full.  I will carry it in my purse to pull out whenever I need something positive to remind me everything will be okay. I gathered my supplies (see above photo

Material Girl - Altered Frame (Magnetic Board)

There is also a GDT and DT call at Re-Cycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent .  There is more information on the website. Hello my Dear Sweet Friends - I am so incredibly excited to share this project with you today.  I had so much fun creating this altered picture frame.  I created this project for CS Designs for the current challenge called: "Material Girl" at Re-Cycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent.   The irony is the more I kept working on it the more ideas I kept having.  Which I have discovered can be a good thing and not such a good thing.  From the beginning I wanted to use fabric as part of my design which I will share more about a little further down this post.  What I have just realized is that I didn't take a photo of the frame that I have altered for this project. (My bad).  It was a 12" x 12" frame I found at a thrift store several months ago.  I also wanted to use fabric (material girl - hint hint) instead of coloring i
